C-Diff Vaccine Study

This research study is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational vaccine that may potentially help prevent C. diff infection. 

Why should I Join the Study? 

If you qualify for and decide to join the study: 

  • You may receive access to an investigational vaccine that may potentially help protect against C. diff. 
  • You will receive study-related care and monitoring at no cost. 
  • You will receive financial compensation for time and travel expenses.

The study may be an option if you: 

  • Are 65 years or older. 
  • Have an increased risk of C.diff infection characterized by any of the following: 
    • Have had at least 2 visits to the emergency room 
    • Had a hospitalization for at least 2 nights in the last 12 months.
    • Have received systemic (i.e. oral or injected) antibiotics for ≥48 hours at any time in the last 12 weeks.
    • Have a planned surgery that will require a hospital stay of 2 nights or more.
    • Have had at least 10 visits to your healthcare provider in the last 12 months.
  • Have not been recently diagnosed with a C.diff infection. 
  • Have not received an investigational C.diff vaccine.
