Respiratory Ilness Vaccine Study
This research study is assessing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational vaccine to see if it could potentially help lower the chances of getting sick or reduce the severity of symptoms from viral respiratory illnesses —such as cold or flu.
Why should I Join the Study?
If you qualify for and decide to join the study:
You may receive access to the investigational drug at no cost, which may help reduce the severity of symptoms from cold or flu.
You will receive study-related care and monitoring from a specialist at no cost.
You will receive financial compensation for time and travel expenses.
The study may be an option if you:
Are at least 18-45 years old.
Are generally healthy and have no major unstable chronic or preexisting conditions.
Are at risk for exposure to viral respiratory infections, such as:
- Living in a crowded household, university dorm, or military barracks
- Working at a childcare center
- Living with children aged 10 or younger attending school or daycare
- Job-related exposure such as healthcare workers, factory workers, taxi and bus drivers, grocery clerks, and educators or counselors working in crowded environments or with multiple exposures to different people daily.
Do not have any active clinical signs or symptoms of acute respiratory illness, i.e., nasal congestion, sneezing, coughing, sputum production, wheezing, difficulty breathing, sore throat, fever, as well as muscle or joint aches, headaches, or tiredness, likely linked to an acute infection.
Have not recently received any licensed or investigational drugs or vaccines to prevent or treat influenza, RSV or COVID-19 within the last 180 days.
Do not have asthma or any chronic respiratory condition
Other criteria apply.
